The principle of “Gâchette Gauche” is to meet to discuss subjects that affect video games in general and their media treatment in particular, live on Twitch, once a month. This month, we start by wondering if 2023 is the worst of the best years in video games. Between an avalanche of good games and an industry that is multiplying studio closures and layoffs, it’s difficult to understand where video games are going. For the second debate of the show, we address a concept which is becoming more and more important among players, that of “GOTY” or “Game of the Year”. Is it always easy to win a game? Are there objective criteria?

“Gâchette Gauche” is hosted by Erwan Cario, with Julie Le Baron, editor-in-chief of Canard PC, Kévin Bitterlin, editor-in-chief of JV Le Mag and Quineapple, of “Jour de Play” and the podcast “Among Meuf”.
