The National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (Condusef) issued an alert for customers of I will profit from Afore for frauds committed through identity theft
Fraudsters they impersonate the identity of the company to offer users financial services for which they obtain personal data and/or request advance payments of up to 200 thousand pesos through operations that appear legitimate, but turn out to be illegal.

Profuturo is not the only financial company that has been affected by the fraudstersIn April 2024, Condusef had already reported 59 institutions as affected by fraud of this type and Profuturo was recently included in the list along with 48 other institutions.
The type of fraud is serious because criminals use the logo and name of the company to deceive users, making them believe that they are managing credits or procedures related to their savings funds involving significant sums of money.
In response to the alerts, Profuturo carried out some Recommendations its users on how to keep their data and individual accounts safe, so as not to fall victim to fraudsters.

- Don’t trust anyone payment request to speed up procedures and services (all are free).
- Have a password unique, personal and secure. It uses combinations of characters that are difficult to decipher.
- Ensure that all information comes from official channels from the company (emails and/or calls).
- Report to the company any suspicious request for information or transaction.
- monitor your accounts frequently.
- Share the information with your family, friends and loved ones so that they are also alert.
Fraud attempts happen regularly through digital means such as emails or messages from Whatsapp o SMS where they request advance payments to carry out procedures.

Although Profuturo assured that none of its clients have been affected so far, Condusef makes available to users a hotline in it 55 5340 0999as well as its official portal: Condusef for any questions or fraud reports, as well as information on authorized financial institutions.
