What is SB 1047?
The Safe Innovation Act for Artificial Intelligence Modelsbetter known as Legislation SB 1047is a project presented by Senator Scott Wiener to the California Congress.
This law seeks avoid risks and threats to public safety that can generate artificial intelligence, such as development of biological, chemical, nuclear or cyber weapons.
Likewise, SB 1047 proposes that models that represent a “critical risk” for users can be turned off.
In the event that artificial intelligence does not comply with the provisions of the law, various measures could be implemented. sanctions as:

- civil actions
- repair of damage for affected persons
SB 1047 also provides for the creation of the Government Operations Agency, which will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the provisions.
