Medanta Hospital’s Global Health Limited has floated an IPO on the stock market to raise Rs 2,250 crore.
Medanta Hospital Management is planning to sell Rs 1,750 crore of its existing shares and Rs 500 crore worth of new shares.
New Delhi-based Medanta Hospital has a market value of Rs 9,000 crore. The price of one set share is Rs.319 to Rs.336. Medanta’s IPO started yesterday and continues till the 7th.

The IPO has earmarked 35 per cent of the sale to retail traders, 50 per cent to qualified institutional investors and 15 per cent to non-institutional buyers.
It is reported that Rs 662 crore was received from anchor investors yesterday, the first day of IPO. An additional Rs 19 from the sale price of the stock is sold at the gray market price.

As on June 30, Medanta Hospital provides its services to 30 specialty hospitals. The hospital employs 1300 doctors directly and on contract basis and has 2467 beds.
Two Medanta Hospitals in Lucknow and Patna were opened recently. But the other 3 hospitals are well-developed hospitals with plenty of modern facilities and treatment options.
