A 105-year-old woman living in the UK revealed the secret to her longevity.
According to foreign media such as the New York Post on the 23rd (local time), British grandmother Kathleen Hennings celebrated her 105th birthday on the 2nd.
Kathleen enjoyed a party with nursing home residents, friends, and staff that day. The published photo shows him smiling while holding a glass filled with Guinness dark beer. To celebrate her birthday, Kathleen received gifts from beer brand Stout, including Guinness, chocolate, and an apron.
When asked by a reporter about the secret to longevity, Kathleen responded, “Don’t drink Guinness and get married.” His favorite drink is said to be Guinness.
Kathleen said, “Our whole family likes Guinness, and we often drink it at home.” “I learned about Guinness through my parents in my late teens, and I still like it to this day.” “My parents used to drink Guinness at home regularly,” he recalled.
He added, “Whenever my family dines, we always choose Guinness and we still drink it to this day.”
Born in Brixton, England in 1919, Kathleen worked as an accountant in London for many years. In the evenings after work, I spent time dancing in Covent Garden or watching opera and ballet.
He lived in London until the end of World War II. In 1965, she decided to live in the quiet countryside and moved to the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, with her mother, brother, and dog.
He currently lives in a care home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Malaika Charles, care home worker, said: “It was wonderful to see Kathleen celebrate her birthday with her loved ones. “We went to great lengths to make her day a memorable one and thank you for giving her a pint of Guinness. “Thank you to everyone,” he said.
Meanwhile, the oldest person in the world is Japanese Tomiko Itooka, who is 116 years old. Grandma Itooka was officially registered as the world’s oldest person by Guinness World Records (GWR) last August.
The ‘unofficial’ oldest person in the world is Margaret Maritz, a South African grandmother. According to a copy of his ID card shown to reporters by a charity organization that prepared a party for Maritz, who celebrated his birthday last September, it was reported that Maritz was born on September 27, 1906.
