The 68th international Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö (Sweden) this May, where 20-year-old singer Eden Golani will represent Israel with the song Hurricane. Bookmakers have updated their forecasts and it has become known what place they predict for our country in the competition.

Eurovisionworld writes about this.

According to the table, Croatia can take first place at Eurovision 2024 with a 16 percent chance of winning. Second in the ranking was Ukraine with a 13 percent probability of victory, and Switzerland closed the top three with a 9 percent probability of success. The top five also included Italy (9 percent) and the Netherlands (6 percent).

As for Israel, according to bookmaker forecasts, we are in 7th place in the standings and have a 4 percent chance of winning, while Belgium is in sixth place (5 percent).

However, the bookmakers’ forecast is changing quite rapidly; even before the start of Eurovision, there may be changes in the table.

Let us recall that Israel’s participation in the international competition was in question, since the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) did not accept our songs twice because it saw political overtones in them. However, on the third attempt, after the authors redid the lines, the composition was approved and our country was allowed to participate.

“Cursor” wrote earlier that Israeli singer Eden Golani presented the song Hurricane, with which she will represent Israel on the stage of the Eurovision 2024 competition. She will perform in the second semi-final, which will take place on May 9.
