A diet rich in nutrients is very important for the development of children. This not only keeps them healthy, but also protects them from many types of infections and diseases. One of these is milk. Milk is something that a child consumes from childhood till adulthood. Protein and calcium are found in good quantity in it. Due to which bones remain strong and it also helps in keeping red blood cells healthy. Many parents sometimes give biscuits, sometimes fruits or salty snacks to their children along with milk, so that the taste of milk changes and it seems tasty.

However, the combination of certain things with milk can cause problems. Wrong food combination causes many health problems in children. Ayurveda child specialist Dr. Puneet Kumar Dwivedi, while sharing a video on Instagram, has told about those two things which should never be given to children with milk. Let us know about them.

Do not give these things to children with milk

Do not give salty things with milk
According to doctors, never give children salty things to eat with milk. Since, nothing salty is eaten with milk. Therefore, avoid giving salty things like bread, khakra, salty biscuits, samosa, paratha, khichdi snacks with milk. According to Ayurveda, this is a contrary diet. Adding salt to milk causes reaction between sodium and lactose. Which can increase blood pressure and will also lead to heart related diseases in future.

Fruits should not be given with milk
Some people feed milk, banana or milk apple to children while going to school. But this food combination is unhealthy for children. Do not give things like milk shake and fruit custard to children. Especially sour fruits should not be given with milk. This is because the acid level in sour fruits is high, due to which the protein in milk gets coagulated, due to which the child is not able to digest it. Due to this, the child may have stomach cramps, pain and gas problems.

Experts advise that children should avoid giving tea or coffee with milk. Due to this, children’s body has to face harmful substances like caffeine.
