The most anticipated game of the year will be available in a few hours in early access. Hogwarts Legacy has two different releases, we explain how to play it as soon as possible.

The game is likely to be one of the biggest successes of the year, both playfully and commercially. The community of amateurs and fans of the Harry Potter universe expects a lot from the video game, deprived of a release worthy of the name for a little over 10 years. Hogwarts Legacy could well be one of the best titles in the franchise, especially when you look a little at its early reviews. While waiting for its release, here is all the essential information on its early access.
To participate in Hogwarts Legacy Early Access you will need to own the Deluxe Edition of the game, giving you the only way to play the game 72 hours before release. It is on February 7 that we will finally be able to discover the extent of this open world, and this at different times depending on your gaming platform. Console players will also be able to enjoy Hogwarts Legacy no less than 19 hours before their comrades on PC.

For all other players, those with the Standard edition of the game, the release of Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled for Friday, February 10. Again, the console and pc release of Avalanche Software’s new title has different times depending on your platform. Console players will be able to discover the game for the first time on Thursday night at midnight precisely, while PC players will have to wait an additional 7 p.m. to play it on Friday 10 at 7 p.m. Paris time.

To play Hogwarts Legacy in early access, you will need to own the Deluxe or Collector version of the game. In addition to cosmetic advantages, this version slightly more expensive than that of the basic game promises you 72 hours of early access to the game Concretely, it is the players having the Deluxe version who will be able to begin to discover Hogwarts Legacy from Tuesday February 7 at midnight. The game will first appear on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, before arriving on PS4 and Xbox One in early April and Nintendo Switch in late July. On all the platforms mentioned, there is a Deluxe version and a Collector’s version of the game which both promise early access to the game upon release. However, if the release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One is in doubt, which implies that the existence of early access to the game on these platforms is possible, the release of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch is extremely doubtful. In any case, Warner Games and Avalanche Software will have to find ways to adapt the ambition of their RPG to the capabilities of the small hybrid console.
