You’re going to love this series, you’re going to hate this series, but you probably can ‘t ignore this series: “Years of the Moon” is a series by Aviv Geffen, about Aviv Geffen and for Aviv Geffen and it airs tonight on HOT VOD and NextTV, wait Before the official premiere on HOT3 this coming Thursday. The talk of the series is age-old, the production and broadcast have been delayed due to Corona matters, we have been waiting we have been crying we have cried and we are here.
“Lunar Years” deals with the main events that accompanied the rise of Aviv Geffen in the early 1990s and his becoming one of the greatest rock stars in the country’s history, against the background of the difficult events in the country in those years from the wave of terrorist attacks to Rabin’s assassination. Geffen, who also wrote the script for the series, chose to tell the story of his growth in the shadow of his father and his longing for love and attention, years in which he tried to slaughter sacred cows and deal with manifestations of hatred and violence directed against him.
The big attrition of the series, it seems, is an excellent casting for the roles of key characters in Geffen’s life, such as Jonathan Geffen (Niro Levy), Haim Shemesh (Eyal Schechter), Shalom Hanoch (Maor Cohen), Asi Dayan (Lior Dayan) and more. The lead role is played by actor and poet Noah Engelhard who has been around town for almost two years with too long hair in favor of the role and can now finally get a haircut.
