what urban climate for tomorrow?

This summer, the streets of Paris are transformed into a climate measurement laboratory thanks to the Paname 2022 project. The opportunity for researchers to collect meteorological data and better understand a phenomenon that escapes conventional measurement tools: the islet of urban heat. Evolution of air quality in urban and peri-urban areas, impact of climate change on cities, contributions of cities to greenhouse gas emissions, effects of urban environments on extreme meteorological phenomena, or links between cities and health of its inhabitants… As this video broadcast in partnership with CNRS Le Journal shows, these are all aspects that the ten scientific projects brought together within the Paname 2022 initiative will examine. This set of campaigns brings together scientists and laboratories CNRS, Météo-France, Paris-Est Créteil University, Sorbonne University, the Polytechnic Institute of Paris, the National School of Bridges and Roads, the National Institute of Agronomic Research (Inrae ), LigAir and Airparif.
