Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Munich, demanded that the American authorities lift unilateral sanctions against China.

As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, the Chinese Foreign Ministry reported this.

“Wang Yi demanded that the United States lift illegal unilateral sanctions against Chinese enterprises and individuals and not harm the legitimate rights and interests of the PRC in the field of development,” says a statement published on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

It clarifies that Wang Yi pointed out to the United States the need to build relations on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and “win-win cooperation.” The Chinese diplomat stressed that Beijing and Washington must “actively seek the right path that will allow the two great powers to get along with each other.”

According to data published by the Global Times newspaper, American sanctions apply to more than 1.3 thousand entities and individuals of the PRC. Washington’s list of restrictions is constantly expanding, and the United States has introduced increased duties on a number of Chinese goods and restrictions on the export of new technologies to China, as well as on investment cooperation with Beijing.
