Mexico City, March 5 (However).- This month brings several important events and one of them is the Tajín Summit that this year will take place from March 21 to 26 and seeks to promote and care for the Totonac culture with the motto “Culture that transcends”. The 2023 edition will feature 700 activities, workshops and ceremonies, as well as musical performances at the Takilhsukut Theme Park and the Center for Indigenous Arts.

–Big house Totonac wisdom: House of the Council of the Grandparents that is made up of 12 wise men, they represent the number of full moons that can be observed during a year, each Elder has a specialty. The House of the Grandparents, also called Kantiyán, is a space to invoke the deities through ceremonies, requests and thanks.
–Pottery house: House to avoid losing the tradition of pottery that is made by hand and with ancestral techniques while looking to the future. There, pre-Hispanic forms are explored and everyday objects are recreated, as well as reflections on their work, dialogue and links to alternative proposals to ceramics.
–cotton world house: This House works to restore links with nature and revalue the knowledge that each iconographic element of the embroidery represents. The Totonacs see spinning and weaving as metaphors for time, life, and creation.
–earth house: In this House live the traditions of the Grandparents related to the care of the land and eco-techniques. This is the place to teach, share and reflect on the importance of caring for Mother Earth.
–House of the healer: This House seeks to preserve and transmit the knowledge of traditional medicine that the Grandparents inherit to new generations. Healing occurs in physical, mental, spiritual, human, environmental and cosmic ways.
–house of paintings: House that focuses on Totonaca painting through dialogue and research. The Grandparents point out that colors do not enter each person only through the eyes, but also through the other senses, such as taste, smell and through the skin.
–House music: Revalue one’s own and create conditions to dialogue with the music of the world. This house aims to promote the experimentation-creation of its participants, musicians trained in the tradition and in the academy.
–Florida House of the Word: Here the art of the word is cultivated since it is a gift that not everyone possesses. The word builds, animates, guides, orients, communicates human beings with the sacred space.
–house of the heart of the wood: His goal is to compile traditional wood intervention techniques with which unique pieces are brought to life.
–Community tourism house: There is its own model of sustainable and respectful tourism, the inhabitants of Totonacapan share their culture, arts and values with visitors.
–House of media and broadcasting: Mass media tools are used for radio pieces or videos to disseminate art and culture.
House of traditional Totonac cuisine: Women nurture the body and spirit of the family and community. In this House, dishes are prepared that take advantage of the products of the region and experiment with the fusion of elements of non-indigenous cuisine.
–House of traditional dances: Masters, foremen and musicians of the traditional dances come together to recreate the elements that make up the dances.
RESIDENT, INNA AND MOLOTOV IN THE CONCERTS
