As the country celebrates its 75th year of independence, a survey has said that most Indians believe that India will become the most influential country in the world in the next 5 years.

Local Circles conducted a nationwide survey on expectations. The results of the survey conducted on about 79,000 people in 371 districts across the country have been released. 64 percent of the participants were male and 36 percent were female.

It states:-

1. When asked about India’s biggest challenge, 43 percent said job creation and livelihood opportunities would be the biggest challenge. Next, 17 percent said that economic growth would increase and 13 percent said that inflation would be kept under control.

2. 39 percent are confident that India can create enough employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

3. As the country celebrates its 75th Independence Day, when asked how India’s global influence will change in the next 5 years, a total of 82 percent said that India will become a globally influential country. 14 percent said influence may decline.

4. When asked about the expectation of India’s growth and prosperity in the next 5 years, 24 percent said that everyone would see growth and prosperity, 36 percent said that most would see growth and prosperity, and 38 percent said that only a few would see development.

5. When asked whether social harmony in India will change in the next 5 years, 40 percent said that there would be improvement, 24 percent said that the status quo would continue, and 33 percent said that it would deteriorate.
