the talent show hosted by Giorgia turns into ‘Hell Factor‘ for an evening without a moment’s rest that will see among the competing artists a double elimination. The fourth appointment with the Live Shows, live from 9.15pm on Sky and streaming on Now, is thus a real turning point in a competition that is increasingly difficult: both for the 4 judges Achille Lauro, Jake La Furia, Manuel Agnelli and Paola Iezzi, both for their teams, ready to battle on the stage of the X Factor Arena’.
Workhorses and judges’ assignments
the performance of all the competitors in a row, one after the other without interruption, with their own warhorse: already at the end of this first round there will be the first, very quick, elimination.
Following, a single round of covers between all the artists remaining in the competition which will lead to a run-off between the two least voted, a ‘final clash’ in which the final outcome will, as always, be up to the judges at the table. These are the songs assigned by the judges to their artists, should they arrive in the second round:
Lorenzo Salvetti he would perform a cover of ‘Me so ‘mbriacato’, one of the most famous songs by the singer-songwriter Mannarino; The Votives would bring their version of ‘La Canzone Nostra’, the hugely successful 2021 single by Mace feat. Blanco & Salmo; Payable would pay homage to a jazz great, George Gershwin, with his legendary ’Summertime’
if they save themselves from the first elimination, Frankly would bring the global hit ‘Blinding Lights’ by The Weeknd, i The Fool they would sing ‘Niente Canzoni D’Amore’, one of Marracash’s best-known hits (here together with Federica Abbate).
Mimi it would bring a cover of the eternal ‘La sera deimirali’ by Lucio Dalla; Daniel he would be grappling with Vasco Rossi’s rock classic ‘Liver, liver mushy’; i Punkcake would bring ‘Do you love me?’ of the CCCPs
* Paola Iezzi awarded her only remaining artist, Lowrah‘Someone You Loved’, Lewis Capaldi’s global instant classic with almost 4 billion streams.

Interviewer: Good evening, everyone! Welcome to this special edition of Time.news, where we dive deep into the exciting world of talent shows. Today, we have the pleasure of speaking with renowned entertainment expert and talent show analyst, Dr. Emilia Rossi. Welcome, Dr. Rossi!
Dr. Rossi: Thank you for having me! I’m thrilled to discuss the latest developments in talent shows, especially the recent episode of X Factor.
Interviewer: Absolutely! The recent episode hosted by Giorgia has been dubbed ‘Hell Factor’ due to its intense format, which included a double elimination. What are your thoughts on this shift to a more cutthroat environment for the contestants?
Dr. Rossi: It’s a strategic move that certainly raises the stakes! Talent shows thrive on drama and unpredictability, and a double elimination creates tension that keeps audiences engaged. However, it also adds immense pressure on contestants. It’s a delicate balance between entertainment and nurturing talent.
Interviewer: Speaking of pressure, the competitors performed back-to-back without a break. How does this format affect the performers’ mental and physical states?
Dr. Rossi: That’s a crucial point! Performing in a rapid succession can amplify anxiety levels, as artists don’t get the chance to reset between performances. It can lead to fatigue, but for some, it inspires adrenaline-fueled performances. The challenge is not only about vocal strength but also about emotional resilience. Those who perceive it as a trial by fire often rise to the occasion.
Interviewer: Indeed. The judges had assigned specific songs for the performance. How important is this aspect of song selection in talent shows?
Dr. Rossi: Song selection is everything! It showcases the artist’s unique style and abilities, and the right song can resonate deeply with both the audience and the judges. For instance, assigning a classic like Gershwin’s ’Summertime’ to an artist allows them to demonstrate their vocal prowess and emotional depth. Conversely, a contemporary hit like The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ can connect with younger audiences, depending on the competitor’s strengths.
Interviewer: And with judges like Achille Lauro and Paola Iezzi, each with distinct tastes, how does their influence shape the competition?
Dr. Rossi: The judges are pivotal in shaping the narrative of the competition. Their musical backgrounds and preferences can greatly influence a contestant’s style. For example, a judge like Lauro might favor more avant-garde interpretations, while Iezzi might encourage traditional vocal techniques. Their choices can ultimately sway public perception and voting outcomes.
Interviewer: There’s also the concept of ‘workhorses’ in these shows. Can you elaborate on what that means for the contestants?
Dr. Rossi: Absolutely! A ‘workhorse’ is a contestant who consistently delivers solid performances regardless of the pressure. They typically have a wide range of skills and can adapt to various styles, making them reliable in high-stakes situations. These contestants often captivate audiences week after week, building a loyal fan base that can be crucial for survival in eliminations.
Interviewer: As we look ahead to the next episode, what strategies should the contestants keep in mind to navigate this increasingly competitive environment?
Dr. Rossi: Contestants should focus on authenticity and connection! It’s essential to choose songs that resonate personally, allowing them to express genuine emotions. They also need to remain adaptable; the ability to innovate while staying true to oneself can lead to memorable performances. Lastly, building rapport with judges and fans can provide a significant advantage.
Interviewer: Great insights, Dr. Rossi! Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. I’m sure our viewers are eager to see how the competition unfolds.
Dr. Rossi: Thank you for having me! I can’t wait to see how these talented individuals rise to the challenge in the upcoming episodes.
Interviewer: And that wraps up our engaging discussion! Stay tuned for more updates on X Factor and other exciting talent shows. Good night!
