Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The famous instant messaging application, WhatsApp, announced the launch of a new feature that many users have been waiting for, through a new update to the application that was launched recently.
The new feature allows the user to send images to others in HD quality, meaning that the recipient is now receiving high-resolution images.
The new feature has become available to all WhatsApp users, provided they download the latest version of the application.
In order to obtain the new feature, the “WhatsApp” application must be updated, after which the user will automatically see the HD button next to the options for editing the image before sending it to someone else.
Once you click on this option, the user will be able to specify the resolution of the sent image through two options.
When the recipient receives the photo that was sent to him from someone, it will appear to him in the left corner that it was sent to him in HD quality.
Earlier, the “WhatsApp” application had added major features that are most requested by users for a very long time, and the most important of these features is the feature of switching accounts and adding animated icons.
Also, in the latest beta version of the application, which bears the number 2.23.17.8, the feature of switching accounts was introduced.
This feature enables users to sign in to multiple accounts and easily navigate between them through settings.
This feature may particularly benefit those who communicate for both personal and professional purposes on WhatsApp, providing an improved and more flexible user experience.
“WhatsApp” also introduced animated emojis, which add a lively and fun character to conversations, and this feature allows users to send emojis that move in a natural way, which makes interactions more distinctive.
And last July, “WhatsApp” made it possible to use the application on multiple devices at the same time, so the security feature is necessary if you have “WhatsApp” on more than one phone.
While the feature is currently only available to a few Android users, it is expected to roll out to more people in the coming weeks.
But Internet hackers may find a way to take advantage of this new feature to control your account, and to avoid that, you just need to follow these steps, which are as follows:
Open “WhatsApp” > Settings > Account > Security notifications, then turn on the toggle to display security notifications on this phone.
And if someone tries to change any of your settings, you’ll get a notification with a code sent to your main device.
The app also gives users the ability to create a PIN code for added security, which users can use to access their account.
Also, users can add an email address so that they can reset the six-digit code in case they forget it.
Once you turn on the two-factor verification feature, you will need to enter your PIN if you register your phone number on WhatsApp again.
The user can turn off this feature at any time, but it prevents hackers from adding your account to a new device.
