With the idea of avoiding spam-type communications and calls from scammers, the WhatsApp messaging platform is preparing a privacy feature that will allow users to silence calls they receive from unknown numbers.
The possibility of silencing calls from strangers is a function that has been in development for several months, as the specialized portal WABEtainfo already anticipated in March, although it was only now that it appreciated the adjustment for Android beta users.

Specific, is available in beta version 2.23.10.7 for Android, and it includes the new section in the privacy settings, under the name: ‘silence unknown calls’.
As its description explains, if it is activated -because it is optional-, lIncoming calls that come from a number that the user does not have registered will be automatically silencedalthough they will continue to appear in the list of calls and in the notifications.
