“Following the release of the new beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.22.7.2 update, WhatsApp is introducing a new message forwarding limit. Once a message is marked as forwarded, it can no longer be forwarded to more than one group chat. If you need to forward this message to more than one group chat, you must select the message and forward it again. Please note that the new restriction takes effect even with a single message forwarding, ”the authors of the portal explained the innovation.
They clarified that two years ago, WhatsApp introduced restrictions on message forwarding to limit the spread of misinformation. Whether the new restriction is dictated by the same motives is not known.
Earlier, on March 1, the same electronic publication reported that WhatsApp would develop a way to leave a reaction to the messages of the interlocutor. In addition to this function, the menu will have the options “Reply”, “Message information”, “Download”, “Forward message” and others.
