Whatsapp messenger introduced a new feature that allows you to transfer chats from one device to another using QR codes. The new feature eliminates the need to create backups in cloud storage.
WhatsApp has been repeatedly criticized for being too complicated to transfer chats from one device to another. With the new feature, the user will have to go to the “Chats” section and select “Transfer chats”. Then you will need to scan the QR code on the new device, and the entire correspondence history will be copied to the new smartphone.
The function will only work between devices on the same operating system and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Messenger has been testing this feature since January 2023. Earlier, WhatsApp released an update in which it allowed the use of the same account on multiple phones.
