Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced three new privacy features for WhatsApp earlier this month. Internet, prohibit taking a screenshot.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company recently released the WhatsApp beta version for Android 2.22.18.16, and the report adds that WhatsApp is also blocking screenshot of the “view” of photos and videos, which may be included with upcoming updates.
The report states that this feature will prevent users from taking screenshots of photos and videos that appear once, but this feature is currently under development on WhatsApp beta for Android and will be rolled out with the next update of the application.
The screenshot blocking feature was also in development on WhatsApp beta for iOS, the report claims. More details about this feature are expected in the coming days.
