Experts said that WhatsApp will release an option that will allow you to unlock the application using a fingerprint, face identification or password. “Previously, this option was only available with biometric authentication, limiting users who preferred alternative methods or whose devices did not have biometric sensors,” WABetaInfo noted.
The improved app blocking feature is available to select beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta updates for Android from the Google Play app store. In the coming days, the option will be available to a wide range of users.
