After Meta acquired the popular WhatsApp app, a new feature called “Business Search” has been introduced on WhatsApp in some countries. This feature allows WhatsApp users to easily view, interact with businesses and make purchases directly from within the WhatsApp app. With this feature of WhatsApp, users no longer need to search for merchants’ websites, pages or their phone numbers.
Mark, CEO of Metta said, “We want to make it easier for people to do more things on WhatsApp, and as part of that we’ve created ways for businesses to engage. “Although millions of businesses in Brazil use WhatsApp to communicate, we don’t make it easy to find or do business,” he said. WhatsApp’s “Business Search” feature can be used by users from Indonesia, Mexico, Colombia, UK and Brazil. But it is noteworthy that the company has not released any information about when this facility will be available to WhatsApp users in India. WhatsApp is said to be rolling out this feature in new countries in the coming months.

How to Search and Buy Businesses on WhatsApp:
1) Open the WhatsApp app on your device.
2) After selecting the chat icon, select “Discover” and select “Businesses”.
3) Decide how you want to share your location.
4) Click Continue to browse local businesses.
5) Apart from your location you can also select other location through map and view merchants.
6) Now enter the business you are looking for.
7) You can further narrow your search by tapping the builder chip at the top of the list. Builders can filter businesses by category, location, open status, or catalog.
8) Tap on Business option to view business profile.
9) Now you can start a conversation with the merchants by clicking on the chat button.
