The two new features are filters and backgrounds.
These two new effects allow users to change the background or add filters when calling using video, so they can be more interactive.
“This filter is designed to help you create a more fun atmosphere, either by adding a splash of color or making the video more artistic,” said WhatsApp regarding the new filter feature for video calls, Wednesday.

Currently WhatsApp provides ten filters and ten backgrounds that can be combined with each other to create an attractive appearance.
Filter options include Warm, Cool, Black & White, Glow, Dim, Prism Glow, Fisheye, Vintage Style TV, Frosted Glass, and Duo Color Tone.
While background options include Blurred, Living Room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Foodie, Smoosh, Beach, Sunset, Celebration, and Forest.
