VIDEO – Gabriel Debru, 17, was invited to the Rafa Nadal Academy to train with the Spaniard, who announced his comeback for January.

With a view to his return to the courts planned in Brisbane (December 31-January 7), the Spaniard with 22 Grand Slam titles invited several players from the circuit to come and share his last weeks of preparation. Arthur Fils, 19 years old and finalist of the Next Gen Masters in Jeddah last week, should go there for a week starting December 8.

Gabriel Debru, born in 2005 and current 311th player in the world (more than 300 places ahead of Nadal, 664th!), won the Roland-Garros junior tournament in June 2022. In 2023, he played in a Challenger final in Prague and won the tournament in Gubbio, Italy.
