Chile will face the Americans in Zhuhai, China, with the hope of reaching the next phase of the 2024 Davis Cup.
In Zhuhai, China, Chile will begin its participation in the Group Stage from the final of the Davis Cup 2024 against the United States, in a group that also includes Germany and Slovakia.
The duel between the team captained by Nicolás Massú and the Americans is scheduled to begin at midnight this Tuesday, Chile time.
The Chilean team is made up of Alejandro Tabilo (21st), Nicolas Jarry (26th), Cristian Garin (116th), Tomas Barrios (160th) and Matias Soto (335th)while the American one is made up of Rajeev Ram (5°), Austin Krajicek (22°), Brandon Nakashima (50°), Mackenzie McDonald (140°) and Reilly Opelka (324°).
The new format implemented for the Davis Cup contemplates the Participation of 16 teams divided into four groupseach with its own headquarters.
The two teams that finish in first place in each group will move on to the so-called Final 8, which will take place between November 19 and 24 in Malaga, Spain.
