I like my job and I can’t imagine doing anything else, says Valentina Georgieva, product manager at FANTASTIKO
From the native Pleven to managerial position in one of the largest trading companies in our country – this is how Valentina Georgieva’s success story can be described.
While still a student, she
decides to work
as cashier only for
the summer vacation
in one of the “Fantastico” supermarkets in Sofia. But it turns out that this “only for the summer vacation” continues to this day – already 21 years.
While studying at the University of National and World Economy, Valentina continues to develop professionally. He went from cashier to head merchandiser and then to product manager. He is currently working on the company’s portfolio of household chemicals, detergents and all sanitary and hygiene products. Responsible for over 1000 items and the overall vision of some of the strongest supermarket sectors “Fantastic”.
“I like my job and I can’t imagine doing anything else,” says Valentina. The work is extremely dynamic and every success challenges her to set ever higher goals. “I think so

My work in a supermarket was an indispensable school and without this stage I would not be able to be at the necessary professional level as a product manager today,” adds Valentina.
The retail industry is highly competitive, and to be successful there, you need to stay ahead of your competition. And Valentina knows the secret to that. “The market is dynamic, customers change, expectations towards us change as well.
I’m always interested
of new items, new
trends
and constantly monitor market developments. I am a person who cares a lot about the fulfillment of professional commitments, and I am not afraid of challenges at work,” says Valentina.
Outside of the company, she especially cares about her family. “We like to travel and spend more time in nature, do sports – we ride bicycles, ski, go hiking,” says Valentina.
They often return to Pleven with her family. She misses it and her childhood friends, but she tries to keep in touch with the people she grew up with and shared the most pleasant and the most difficult moments before she left the city. “I love Pleven, it is where I was born, and quite naturally I am strongly connected to it. I think we managed to infect my son with the excitement we feel every time we are there,” admits Valentina.
He says he has two families – his own and the close-knit family called Fantastico. “Here I have built long-lasting bonds with my colleagues both in the office and with the people who work in the supermarkets. By working together we manage to overcome the difficult times and we are developing as a successful company on the market”, Valentina looks back over the years.
In her words, what makes a family company a good employer is
caring for the team and
correctness
“As a serious employer, Fantastico provides everyone in the team with a secure job opportunity with development potential, good remuneration, monthly meal vouchers, supplementary health insurance and a range of free examinations and tests. You can take advantage of discounts at all company sites – supermarkets, restaurants, bowling alleys, sports tickets at preferential prices, discounts for various hotel complexes,” lists Valentina.
Her opinion is also shared by the majority of her colleagues. The latest BeyondWork* company team satisfaction survey, conducted this summer, shows that 91% of Fantastico GROUP employees highly value the company’s care for the team, 85% strongly approve of their employer , and for nearly 88% the Bulgarian chain follows high quality standards. The overall satisfaction rating of the “Fantastico” team is higher compared to the rating from last year’s survey.
