Prabhas is a South Indian actress who has fans all over the world. Prabhas made her film debut in 2002 with ‘Ishwar’ and in 2015 with ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’ directed by SS Rajamouli.
Radhe Shyam is the latest release to star in the film. When Prabhas plays the lead role of Vikramaditya, Pooja Hegde plays the lead role of Prerana. Radhe Shyam is also the first film in which Prabhas and Pooja Hegde are paired.
The film also features Prabhas in a romantic role ten years later.
The actor said that he wanted to do a romantic film by doing a lot of action films together and when he started listening to Radhe Shyam’s story he was confused as to how to say no but later said ok after hearing the climax. Prabhas was speaking in an interview with Kalaignar TV.
“I have done a few action movies like Bahubali and Saho one after the other in my career. After that I wanted to do a romantic film.
It was at that time that UV Productions came to me with the story of Radhe Shyam. When I found out that my character was a palmist, I wondered if I could do it and how I would do that role.
I’m not a person who believes in palmistry. But I’m not saying the look is wrong. After hearing the story until the interval, I was confused as to how to say no to them. My suspicion was that the audience would take over this story which is a normal love story.
But after the first half the story seemed interesting. Immediately after hearing the climax of the movie I was saying ok. The last 20 minutes of the film in particular thrilled me a lot, ”said Prabhas.
The film was shot in Hyderabad, Italy and Georgia.
The actor also spoke about the difficulties faced by the line-up due to Kovid.
Radhe Shyam started shooting three or four years ago. Meanwhile, the shooting was stopped for the shooting of Saho. Shooting later resumed in Italy.
Kovid was not in a hurry at the time and was able to settle all the schedules in Italy. After that he went to Georgia. But due to Kovid, the shooting could not be completed there. Yet 20 percent still had to shoot. The film was finally shot in Hyderabad, ”he added.
Radhe Shyam is written and directed by Radhakrishna Kumar. Produced by UV Creations and T-Series, the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.
The film tells the story of Vikramaditya’s love affair with inspiration and his encounter with fate in a European setting in the 1970s.
The music of the film is composed by S Thaman. The film has two different soundtracks in Hindi and Telugu versions. The Hindi songs were composed by Mithun, Amal Mallik and Manan Bhardwaj while the Telugu songs were composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
Cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing is by Kotagiri Venkiteshwara Rao. PRO Aathira Diljith. The film was released in theaters on March 11. The film has received mixed reviews.
