Sitamarhi: A truck loaded with onions from Nasik left for Chhapra district of Bihar and on the way the truck driver played a trick. However, his trickery proved costly for him. Sitamarhi police arrested the truck driver with lakhs of rupees in cash and sent him to jail and also seized the truck. Everyone will be surprised to know about the trick related to onions and the trickery of the driver.
What is the game of onions loaded on truck
The arrested truck driver Ajay Chaudhari is the son of Ram Bihari Chaudhari of Kuriyar village of Mundera police station in Basti district of UP. He told that this truck belongs to his cousin Rampal Chaudhari. He had left for Chhapra from Nashik with onions in the truck. A total of 30 tonnes of onions were loaded. On the way, he changed the number of the truck. The original number is UP 53 DT- 9761. The driver told police that on the way, he spoke with onion trader Sampat Das of Sitamarhi Market Committee. Das agreed to buy the onions. At around 11.30 pm, he started unloading the onions at Das’s godown. He also sold onions to some small traders. Remaining onions were kept at Das’s godown.
The truck owner raided on complaint
Meanwhile, when the truck loaded with onions did not reach Chhapra, the truck owner complained about the theft of the truck to the Nashik police. The police there reached Sitamarhi while investigating. The truck owner Rampal Chaudhary was also with the Nashik police. Sitamarhi police cooperated fully and conducted a raid and caught the onion trader Das along with the truck driver. The truck was seized. 615 packets of onions were found in the warehouse, which were seized and the warehouse was sealed. The police also recovered Rs 8.50 lakh from the truck, which was received in exchange for the onions sold to small traders. The money was kept hidden in the truck.
Police filed FIR
This entire game is connected to the market committee, Pupri. In this regard, Pupri police has lodged an FIR on the application of SI Manoj Kumar, in which the truck driver, onion trader Sampat Das of Baheda of Nanpur police station area and truck owner Rampal Chaudhary have been accused. Truck driver and trader Das have been sent to judicial custody.
