Jorge Alcocerholder of the Ministry of Health (SSA), revealed the date on which the president’s health tours will begin Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) and the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum.
In front of the media, the secretary gave details of this health tour which aims to evaluate the progress and consolidation of the IMSS-Bienestar program in various states of Mexico.
Prior to Jorge Alcocer’s revelations, President AMLO and future President Claudia Sheinbaum met in the Salón Ambassadors of the National Palace.

Jorge Alcocer, head of the SSA, announced to the media that the health tours of AMLO and Claudia Sheinbaum will begin after the September 5th.
In response to the express question “When is the white flag tour?”, Jorge Alcocer said “until after the 5th,” but did not reveal the place where they will begin.
Also on the occasion of the “health tours”, he was asked if Mexico will arrive in Denmark starting in September, to which he responded that “It is not easy to compare it”.
“I can tell you that, for example, the United States has a different health system, But we are very close to European standards.…this is new and it is different according to the policy,” Jorge Alcocer replied.
In a self-assessment, he considered that a lot of work had been done and that successes had been achieved in the health system, both in terms of structure and human resources, despite the fact that these were criticized.
“There was a lot of work, a lot of good work. We had a guide who never stopped walking straight, and with him we were successful. Those successes that many criticize could be for other reasons, but not what has really been achieved in terms of structure, human aspects and compliance with the constitutional mandate of the right to health.”

AMLO and Claudia Sheinbaum met to evaluate the progress of IMSS- Bienestar
The meeting in which AMLO and Claudia Sheinbaum met lasted for around three hours at the National Palace to discuss issues related to the IMSS-Bienestar program.
The meeting was also attended by acting and elected governors, as well as health cabinets, as AMLO shared through his X profile (formerly Twitter).
