While Hero MotoCorp is selling the Expels 200 adventure bike, the Hero 400 ADV model with a 420 cc engine is expected to go on sale by the end of this year.
A few years ago, Hero had showcased a model related to the 400cc adventure bike. Now to confirm it, two Hero Race Bikes have participated in the INRSC round in Bengaluru. Both these bikes come under the Group A category, a category for motorcycles above 400cc. It is speculated to be the Hero 421cc engine.
This new 421cc engined bike will be launched later this year. And this bike model will be the best adventure motorcycle. Spot rally bikes use the same chassis and engine that was revealed a few years back.
Since the XPulse 400 was tested on roads a few months ago, it is expected that the motorcycle will have two variants and the engine may be powerful enough to churn out 40PS and 40Nm of torque.
The Hero Expel 400 bike is priced around Rs. 2.70 lakh, with an ex-showroom price that could be launched in the second half of the year. Direct competition will be the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
