New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that investors from across the world are keenly looking at India. The domestic industry should come forward and take advantage of this golden opportunity and play its role in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. Addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) post-budget conference on ‘Journey towards a developed India’, the Prime Minister said that the Modi government does not lack political will and will take all decisions keeping in mind the nation first approach. He said that India is growing at the rate of eight per cent and the day is not far when the country will become the third largest economy in the world. India is currently the fifth largest economy of the world after the US, China, Germany and Japan.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this milestone of becoming the third largest economy will be achieved in his third term. He mentioned various measures announced in the budget, especially those to promote the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which generates crores of employment opportunities. Modi said that today the whole world is looking towards India and you. Government’s policies, commitment and investments are becoming the foundation of global growth. Investors from all over the world are keen to come to India. World leaders are positive about India. This is a golden opportunity for Indian industry and we should not miss this opportunity.
