Chandigarh: To achieve a hat-trick of victory in Haryana, BJP has entrusted a big responsibility to former state president and Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar. The party has made Dhankar the chairman of the manifesto committee for the assembly elections to be held on October 1 in the state. The party has entrusted Dhankar with the responsibility of deciding with which issues the party should go to the people in the elections. For this, the party formed a manifesto committee under the leadership of senior leader OP Dhankar.

Who is in the committee?

This information is given in a statement of the party. State BJP President Mohan Lal Baroli announced the formation of the committee which will be headed by BJP National Secretary and former Haryana Chief Minister OP Dhankar. The committee will have 14 other members. The members of the committee include senior party leaders Abhimanyu, Ranbir Gangwa, Vipul Goyal, Kiran Chaudhary, Bhavya Bishnoi and Sunita Duggal. The Election Commission announced on Friday that the assembly elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 1 and the election results will be declared on October 4.

Nayab Saini is the CM face
After forming the government on its own for the first time in 2014, the BJP has decided to contest the 2024 elections under the leadership of Nayab Saini. Manohar Lal, who was the Chief Minister of Haryana for nine and a half years, is now the Energy Minister at the Center. The responsibility of winning the elections in the state rests on the shoulders of Nayab Saini and state president Mohan Lal Baroli. In 2019, the party remained far from the majority figure in the state. In such a situation, while the party has new leadership in this election, there are many challenges as well.
