England will face Spain in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, where the Three Lions will try to win a trophy for the first time in more than half a century.
Gareth Southgate’s side struggled to reach the final in Germany this summer, having a difficult time in the group despite an opening-game win over Serbia. He had to rely on a brilliant overhead kick from Jude Bellingham to save himself from the round of 16. Their best performance of the day finally came against the Netherlands, where they won with a last minute goal from Ollie Watkins , giving them a 2-1 win. But if they want to get the trophy they will have to beat the team that played the best during the competition.
Spain, the three-time European champions, will be looking to become the tournament’s top scorer, as they are currently tied with Germany with three championships as the tournament’s top winners. Italy and France won the title twice, the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and Portugal won once.
Spain have been the most attractive and effective team in Euro 2024 and the only one to have won all their matches.
The game will air at 12 pm Pacific time on FOX, TUDN and Univision. The stadium will be the BVB Stadion in Dortmund.
The final in Berlin will be of many styles with Spain’s unbeaten possession game against England’s combination of speed and power.
