Many faces have changed on the screen of the various news editions over the years, and some of the reporters have disappeared over time from the public eye and have chosen to go in other directions. We went out to check: Where are they today?

Yoram Binur

Yoram Binur was one of the founders of the Channel 2 news company (now N12) and served for about 15 years as a reporter for Arab affairs. Binur was known for his articles in Arab localities, Gaza and Judea and Samaria, in which he demonstrated his mastery of Arab street capillaries, which also earned him an amusing parody of “A Wonderful Land.” In 2011, Binur participated in “360”, a short-lived investigative program of “Reshet” that was unsuccessful, and has not been seen on screen since.

Suleiman a-Shafei

Along with Binur, Suleiman a-Shafi’i also worked for many years in News 2 as a field reporter and reporter from the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria. He gained great popularity, which was reflected in the parody character that Eli Yitzpan based on him in his successful show in the early 2000s, and was called “Shafik al-Khartata”. In 2009, a-Shafa’i was fired from the news company after writing a book about the abduction of Gilad Shalit, without receiving permission. In the last decade, a-Shafi’i has appeared on Channel 20 for a number of years, and most recently he appeared as a panelist on the Internet edition “Demoker TV”.

Yossi Ein-Dor

Another member of the founding group of the news company is Yossi Ein Dor, who served as a reporter and presenter of flashbacks, and is best remembered for submitting the initial flash about the plane hitting the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. In 2004 he left the news company and chose to pursue an academic career. And television at a number of universities and colleges, including the School of Communication of the College of Management, and the School of Society and Government in the track of security studies and home defense of Beit Berl College.

Yifat Zamir

Yifat Zamir was one of the founders of the Channel 10 news company, and after a year moved to News 2 and served as a flashback and replacement presenter of programs such as “Six Nations” and “World Order”.
