The final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place on Saturday in Malmö, Sweden with the excitement running high.
This year’s competition coincides with the 50th anniversary of Abba’s landmark win in 1974, which catapulted the Swedish band to global fame.
Greece will compete in the final with Marina Satti and “Zari” getting the coveted ticket. However, Israel also made it to the finals, and despite the complaints and demonstrations outside the Malmo Arena, competed normally.

The presenters of the final will be two, as in the semi-final, the comedian Petra Mede and the actress Malin Akerman.

The film is set in 1985 where a group of retired convicts investigate a conspiracy against them.
The talented actress has also worked as a musician and was the lead singer of the alternative rock band ‘The Petalstones’ before turning to acting.
She also appeared in the rom-com ‘The Proposal’ in 2009, playing Gertrude, the ex-girlfriend of Andrew (Ryan Reynolds).

She also guest-starred on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother and played Alex Altman on ABC’s Suburgatory. Her other well-known films are “27 Dresses” and “Couples in the Deep”.

Malin, who moved to California from Stockholm in 2001, says living in Los Angeles was like being on “vacation” every day.

The Swedish star told Vogue Scandinavia: “I’m in a moment of rediscovering myself, my 40s have been the best time of my life so far. I feel more myself, more authentic to who I am.
“I look at some people older than me, some in their 60s and I think they’re stuck in a certain era. I don’t want to get stuck. I want to dress in a way that has something but is stylish.”

She went on to talk about how much she “loves” LA and how she makes time to spend “quality time” with her family.
“The hiking, the canyons. It’s like living on vacation. When I’m in the middle of a project, it’s 24/7. A lot of days, coming home to learn my words for the next day, trying to spend some quality time with the family on the weekend,” he added.
