Pakistan is the host of ICC 2025 Champions Trophy. But India is not willing to go there and play. So they are moving towards hybrid model approach. That means India’s matches will be held at a neutral venue.
At such a time, former cricketer Kamran Akmal asked – if a team like Australia can come and play in Pakistan, then where is the problem in India coming to play here?
In this regard, he said, ‘Actually, I enjoyed that time very much. India should visit Pakistan and Pakistan should visit India. Let’s keep politics out of sports, love cricket. When teams like Australia tour Pakistan why not India?’
Kamran also mentioned that if India comes to Pakistan then their security will be given utmost importance. Safe travel will be ensured for them.
Meanwhile, another former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria has opposed this matter. According to him, ICC should arrange to host India’s matches in Dubai and not in Pakistan. In that case, according to him, the hybrid model approach can be applied.
