Liverpool travels to face Nottingham Forest this Saturday (2) at the City Ground stadium in a game valid for the 27th round of the Premier League. How the teams arrive
In the last round, the Liverpool team beat Luton Town 4-1 at Anfield. Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Luis Díaz and Harvey Elliott scored the goals that kept the Reds at the top of the table. For the match against Forest, coach Jurgen Klopp continues to have to deal with a long list of injured athletes. The casualties are: Alisson, Joël Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Stefan Bajčetić, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, Thiago Alcântara, Darwin Núñez, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.
On the hosts’ side, coach Nuno Espírito Santo will also be absent. Defender Willy Boly, full-backs Ola Aina and Nuno Tavares, midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré and striker Chris Wood are out due to injury.
The Nottingham team’s phase is not the best. In the last round, the team lost to Aston Villa 4-2 away from home. Moussa Niakhaté and Morgan Gibbs-White scored the goals for the team.
Furthermore, Everton managed to reduce the punishment for violating the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play rule and recover four points. Thus, the Toffees rose to 15th and pushed the Foresters to 17th — a position outside the relegation zone. The first team in Z-3 is Luton Town, who have four points less.
