Urgent need, an inconvenience for most people, but a tragedy for patients with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. In the book Chronic optimism testifies Antonia Mezzina (25) from Wijnegem about her struggle as a teenager with Crohn’s disease. “Wherever I am, I always scan an escape route to the nearest toilet.” Patient associations have just launched a campaign to raise awareness of the Toilet Pass for patients with chronic bowel disease.
