Which option is better to pay, credit or debit?
The main difference between paying with a credit or debit card is that the latter are essentially electronic cash, and these types of accounts do not have insurance against theft to protect you against fraud.
So a debit card automatically discounts the purchase or payment, while a credit card “pauses” the transaction until the cut-off date arrives. In addition to the fact that many stores and establishments have promotions of months without interest and protection against fraud and misuse of them. And in the event that you see unknown charges to your account, there is a greater margin of time to solve the problem, file a complaint and recover your money.
In contrast, most debit cards do not have fraud insurance and are the first accounts criminals use because the money on them is much more difficult to recover from the bank, although it can take weeks or months before you return your money.
