Personnel consultancies in Germany recently recorded around 1.5 million search queries for sustainability experts.

Berlin Three letters are able to put companies under pressure: ESG, an acronym for Environmental (Umwelt), Social (social) and Governance. Behind this is a requirement that legislators and investors make of organizations: They should document how socially, ecologically and societally valuable their business is.
One of the most important guidelines is the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, which applies to companies with more than 3000 employees. As early as 2024, the reporting obligation is to be extended to companies with more than 1000 employees.
In order to meet these requirements, companies need the right minds: Personnel consultancies in Germany recently recorded around 1.5 million searches for sustainability experts. This emerges from figures from the personnel service provider Hays for the past financial year. On the one hand, young university graduates are in demand – and on the other hand, a certain type of career changer.
