SPECIAL ENERGY DAY ON RFI

Let’s ask ourselves about the most formidable source of energy there is: that of our Sun, superabundant, inexhaustible renewable… Solar energy seems to tick all the boxes of the essential energy transition. Its immense potential meets the needs of the 8 billion Earthlings that we are and who live under the sun, particularly in the South, in the tropics on the African continent, areas most affected by climate change and for whom solar power could be the solution. So why hasn’t solar energy taken over the world yet? Why so many missed opportunities since the 19th century and up to our 21st century when photovoltaics is developing but as if on the margins… Why so many research projects and even solar power plants shut down? Why so much nervousness? Who’s afraid of solar?
