A road robber escapes from the police. In the midday hours of Wednesday, August 21, police officers carried out a routine check at Staré Sedlo. After that, however, the driver ignored the call to stop and continued speeding merrily down the road. During the chase, he caused several traffic accidents and almost hit his mother with a pram.

The transfer of an unknown driver on Sokolovsk could be a tragedy. Instead of stopping during a roadside check, the man decided to bypass the police patrol and drove away. “After only a few meters he caused the first traffic accident, he failed to comply with the obligations of a participant in a traffic accident and continued towards the D6 motorway, repeatedly exceeding the speed limit,” said press spokesman Jan Bílek in the police report.

At one point, the man even threatened to hit a mother with a stroller on the sidewalk. Fortunately, he managed to turn the car to the other side at the last minute. However, he unnecessarily put other road users at risk with his careless actions.

In the final phase of the chase, the driver drove the vehicle between the family’s homes and fled the scene. As it turned out later, the man probably stole the car.
