Whirl around corona vaccine – China’s fight against our biontech heroes – Politics abroad

Propaganda battle against our vaccine heroes?

The whole world is vaccinating with Biontech. ALMOST the whole world: China doesn’t.

The corona vaccine from Mainz is considered to be highly safe and highly effective everywhere. But it’s different in China: Biontech approval takes forever there – Biontech has been trying to approve its Comirnaty vaccine in China for a year!

A Biontech spokeswoman only told BILD: “The approval process is still ongoing. We are in constant contact with the Chinese authorities … “

The spokeswoman for the pharmaceutical company expressly denied BILD a report in the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” (FAZ), after Biontech was withdrawing from the Chinese market.

But according to BILD information, things are by no means problem-free. The suspicion of international experts: Beijing wants a monopoly for its own vaccines. Biontech also has a significantly better reputation in China than the Sinovac and Sinopharm own brands.

▶ ︎ Biontech is faced with one of the most extensive vaccine approval processes of all time in Beijing. According to an expert, there is no other foreign corona vaccine in China that has such extensive knowledge as Biontech.

▶ ︎ In addition, Biontech is the only foreign vaccine manufacturer that has carried out its own Phase II study on efficacy and safety in China. Biontech and its US partner Pfizer carried out extensive studies on more than 40,000 subjects worldwide – up to 15,000 are normal.

According to BILD information, scientists and experts from Biontech are still on site in China.

Vaccine nationalism

The fact that China does not want to allow the Biontech vaccine indicates a propaganda battle against our vaccine heroes, the Biontech founders Ugur Sahin and Özlem Türeci.

At 95 percent, the Biontech vaccine is significantly more effective than the two Chinese in-house developments Sinopharm and Sinovac. Their effectiveness is only 79 and 51 percent, respectively.
