The new products are Russell Reserve 15 Years and Russell Reserve 6 Years Rye Whiskey.
Russell Reserve 15 Years is the latest limited edition product of Russell Reserve, a regular brand for whiskey open runs, and is expected to be of great interest to domestic whiskey lovers. According to Trans Beverage, it is filtered using the non-chilled filtering method and bottled at 117.2 proof (58.1% ABV), providing a multi-layered and subtle experience that can only be found in long-aged bourbon. In the US in particular, Russell Reserve 15 Years was sold for about $250 (about 332,300 won), but even this has seen a significant increase in resale price due to insufficient supply.

The whiskey market, which had been overheated during the COVID-19 pandemic, has stabilized, but Russell Reserve 15 Years is showing an unexpected shortage, contrary to the market trend. The regular product, Russell Reserve 6 Years Rye Whiskey, which is being released along with this, was introduced as a product that symbolizes the creativity of master distillers father ‘Jimmy Russell’ and son ‘Eddie Russell’. It is also the only rye whiskey from Wild Turkey Distillery that has its age indicated.
Previous rye whiskeys include Wild Turkey 101 Rye and Russell Reserve Single Barrel Rye, and this Russell Reserve 6 Years Rye is a new whiskey. Russell Reserve Single Barrel Rye is also the favorite whiskey of Bruce Russell, Jimmy Russell’s grandson and Eddie Russell’s son.
The new product Russell Reserve 6 Year Rye is made by collecting the raw material from barrels aged for at least 6 years, blending it at the optimal ratio by Eddie Russell, and bottled at a relatively low alcohol content of 90 proof (45% ABV). It is said that the focus was on a sweet and smooth taste and aroma so that many people can easily enjoy it. The Russell Reserve Single Barrel Rye, which was released first, also uses raw material aged for at least 6 years, but the difference is that it is a small batch craft whiskey made using only a single oak barrel. The new product Russell Reserve 6 Year Rye is sold in the 130,000 won range, and the previously introduced Single Barrel Rye is sold in the 160,000 won range. With the release of a new rye whiskey, Wild Turkey is attempting to popularize premium rye whiskey, following premium bourbon.
