White House wants to remove Nord Stream sanctions from defense budget

The White House will seek to exclude items on sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from the country’s draft defense budget for the next fiscal year, Foreign Policy journalists found out.

“The Biden administration is ignoring the efforts of the Democratic allies on Capitol Hill to lift the sanctions on the controversial Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2, included in the annual draft defense budget, which must be approved,” TASS quoted the study.
