A white man shot dead three black people this Saturday, 26, in Jacksonville, in the US state of Florida, before committing suicide, authorities informed, citing “racial hatred” as the reason for the attack. “His target was a certain group of people, black people, that he said he wanted to kill. And that’s very clear,” said Sheriff TK Waters of the shooter. The perpetrator of the attack was a man in his 20s who had written manifestos detailing “his loathsome ideology of hate”, Waters said at a news conference. The gunman opened fire on a store and was carrying two guns, he added. The Federal Police (FBI) will investigate the attack as a hate crime, said Sherri Onks, FBI special agent in the Jacksonville area.
