The White Night already has a date and rival. The president of Liga de Quito, Isaac Álvarez, prior to the friendly match that took place this February 7 between the U and the Técnico Universitario, announced several details about this sporting event.
The White Night will take place on February 17 at 7:00 p.m. against Universidad Católica at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium and will be attended by the public, since the Municipality of Quito gave the go-ahead for the execution of massive events in the city.
«Thanks to the mayor and Julio Álvarez, who had an exceptional display to guarantee the safety of our fans«said the president of the Quito League, Isaac Álvarez.
Barcelona and Emelec did not suffer the same fate, since the Municipality of Guayaquil did not authorize both the Yellow Night and the Blue Explosion to have public presence. For this reason the bullfighting team took this event to the United States.
Liga de Quito will officially begin its season with the Recopa Sudamericana when it faces Fluminense. The first leg will be on Thursday, February 22 in Quito and the second leg will be played on Thursday, February 29 in Rio de Janeiro.
