A report revealed Russia’s main economic partners in 2023, after its relationship with Western countries declined.

According to the report, “Turkey occupied third place, with trade exchange with Russia amounting to about 56.5 billion dollars, followed by Belarus in fourth place, where the volume of trade exchange with Russia reached about 55 billion dollars, and in fifth place came Kazakhstan, with the volume of trade exchange reaching about 26 billion dollars.” These five countries represent about 60% of the total Russian trade volume in 2023.
As for the other five countries, according to the report, “Germany came in sixth place, followed by South Korea, which has a trade turnover of 15 billion dollars, and the United Arab Emirates ranked eighth, with which Russian trade could grow to 12.1 billion dollars, and Brazil rose (11.3 billion dollars). dollars) to ninth place, while the Netherlands fell four places and fell to tenth place (9.9 billion).”
As for the regional level, “Russia’s largest foreign trade partners in Asia, in addition to China, India, and South Korea, were Japan ($9.7 billion) and Hong Kong ($5.9 billion), and among neighboring countries in Asia, the most active trade was with Kazakhstan.” Uzbekistan ($9.9 billion) and Armenia ($7.3 billion).”
According to the report, “In Africa, Egypt was the undisputed leader, with trade volume increasing by 40% with Russia to reach $5.5 billion, and in the Middle East, Russia’s main partners, in addition to Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, increased trade between Russia and Iran ( Four billion dollars) and Saudi Arabia ($3.3 billion).”
As for “South and North America, in addition to Brazil, the volume of trade exchange between Russia and the United States of America amounted to about $5.5 billion, Mexico ($2.2 billion) and Ecuador ($1.1 billion),” according to the report’s data.
