There were 34 lists in 2019, from the far right to the radical left including a “Yellow Vests” list. On the left, the union once promoted by La France insoumise (LFI) seems to have fizzled out, Europe-Ecologie-Les Verts (EELV) as well as the French Communist Party (PCF) intend to present autonomous lists, confirming a priori the non-renewal of the New Ecological and Social Popular Union (Nupes) to the Europeans. On the other side of the political spectrum, the Reconquest list led by Marion Maréchal could compete, on the far right, with the National Rally (RN) list, which came first four years ago.
