Day.az reports with reference to Milli.Az that Elbrus Isayev is a Doctor of Ideology in History.
He was born on October 7, 1979 in the city of Nakhchivan. In 1996-2000 he studied at Nakhchivan State university and in 2000-2002 he completed his master’s degree at the university. Hasanov, whose field of research is “Political repressions”, received doctoral studies at nakhchivan State University in 2002-2006 and conducted research on “History of international cultural, economic and diplomatic relations”. The doctoral topic was “The Great Silk Road and Nakhchivan”.
In his early youth, he worked as the chairman of the Youth Association of Nakhchivan State University and the chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee. In addition, in 2000-2005, he worked as an editor in the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee of Nakhchivan MR. In 2000-2008, he continued to work as a senior lecturer at the Department of Azerbaijani History of Nakhchivan State University, and as 2008 as a senior lecturer at the Department of International Relations.
Hasanov also worked as the dean of the Master’s program of Nakhchivan State University in 2008-2012, and as the head of the Department of humanities at Nakhchivan Private University as 2013. In 2014-2018, he served as the dean of the Faculty of Management and the associate professor of the Department of International Relations at “Nakhchivan” University.
Elnur Hasanov has been awarded a number of awards for his achievements in the field of education.
He is married and has two children.

Dr. Elbrus isayev: Thank you for the warm welcome. I was born in Nakhchivan on October 7, 1979, and my journey in education began at Nakhchivan State University, where I also completed my master’s and doctoral studies. My doctoral research focused on the “Great Silk Road and Nakhchivan,” exploring how our region contributed to international cultural and economic relations. Being appointed as rector is not just a professional milestone; it embodies my lifelong commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and the advancement of education in our region.
Editor: As the new rector, what are your primary goals for Nakhchivan State University?
Dr. Elbrus Isayev: My primary goal is to enhance the academic programs offered at the university by integrating contemporary research methods and fostering a culture of innovation. I also aim to strengthen our partnerships with international institutions to provide our students with a global viewpoint. We will emphasize research on political repressions, a vital topic that affects our understanding of history and identity. My experience as a senior lecturer and dean has equipped me with the insights needed to navigate these goals effectively.

Dr. Elbrus Isayev: My experiences as the chairman of the Youth Association and the Student Trade Union Committee helped me understand students’ needs firsthand. Additionally, my editorial role at the State Television and radio Broadcasting Committee of Nakhchivan provided me with a platform to communicate educational achievements and promote our university. My time as dean also honed my leadership skills and understanding of faculty needs, which I believe are crucial in implementing effective changes within the university.

dr. Elbrus Isayev: Integrating these areas into our curriculum is vital for developing critical thinking among students. It’s essential to create programs that reflect the ancient importance of our region while equipping students with the skills needed in an interconnected world.
