New Delhi: BJP has released the first list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The party announced the names of 195 candidates today. Names have been announced for five out of seven seats in the capital Delhi. The party has placed its bet on Praveen Khandelwal on Chandni Chowk seat. He has been replaced by veteran leader Dr. Harsh Vardhan. Khandelwal is the general secretary of the Confederation of India Traders, the largest organization of traders. He has a good understanding of business and economy. He is quite vocal on issues related to businessmen. Chandni Chowk is considered a bastion of traders and this is the reason why BJP has placed its bet on Khandelwal on this seat this time.

Khandelwal said in a statement that I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for giving me the opportunity to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Chandni Chowk. Due to this, it has been proved today that the party not only encourages every worker who works with honesty and dedication for Mother India but also gives opportunities to move ahead. The community of 9 crore Indian businessmen is happy with this historic decision and stands in solidarity with the BJP in making India a superpower. He said, ‘In the last 10 years, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been working day and night for the progress of the country. We will publicize all the great and developmental work done by the Prime Minister to every voter in the constituency and ensure that the vision of a developed India will take the BJP to more than 400 seats in the upcoming elections.

Because the ticket is cut

Khandelwal has studied from Delhi University. He did BA in 1980 and LLB in 1983 from Ramjas College. He has more than 28 thousand followers on X. BJP has canceled the tickets of four sitting MPs. Apart from Dr. Harsh Vardhan, these include Meenakshi Lekhi, Pravesh Verma and Ramesh Bidhuri. Manoj Tiwari has once again been given ticket from North East Delhi. Bansuri Swaraj from New Delhi, Kamaljit Sehrawat from West Delhi and Ramveer Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi have been fielded.
